We welcome you to our EDELWEISS IV website and invite you to visit us whether here in the Philippines or on your next overseas trip.

We opened our first EDELWEISS in 1979, right in the heart of Ermita, that era’s most important tourist center in Manila.

In 1983 we were forced to move to make room for a new commercial building, however that was only completed in 2011, we opened the new premises not far from the initial restaurant.

Due to the “Great Purge” in 1993 of the City of Manila, instigated by the newly elected mayor of the time and which hoped to rid the city of the seedy elements involved with the “Night Life” industry, but by consequence many good Restaurants livelihoods suffered as the tourists failed to flow to Ermita, and tourists are necessary to operate restaurants profitably.

We therefore decided in 1993 to move the EDELWEISS to Angeles City. This city is approximately 100 kilometers north of Manila, and was the home of former U.S. Air Force’s largest base outside of the United States.

We spent 19 successful years and in 2011, we temporarily closed our local business.

Now we have reopened EDELWEISS IV and look forward to many years of serving you the best European food in Angeles City.
